Today was the second part of Oprah's special on actor
Tom Cruise. Many stars shared their experiences with this
talented actor. Here is what Renee had to say:
Here is a little about their experiences
filming Jerry Maguire:
Jerry Maguire was the breakout role for
Oscar® winner Renée Zellweger, and it's a role
she thought she'd never get. "I remember driving
to the audition, and I remember being very calm because
I was thinking, 'This is never going to happen.'"
It did, and together Tom and Renée filmed one
of the most romantic scenes in movie history. After a
separation, Tom's character bursts into a room full of
women, determined to get his wife back. In the scene,
Tom tearfully utters the line: "You complete me."
Renée says she had no trouble responding. "I
don't know what he was thinking about when he came through
that door, but he was a wreck," she says. "He
brought something with him that day."
Renée wants to share her warm wishes for Tom on
this momentous anniversary. "He was born with some
magic about him, and you can't describe it, and you can't
dissect what makes Tom Cruise special," she says.
"He just is."

Leatherheads Press Continues
April 10, 2008 |
Today Rome had their premiere of Leatherheads
and I have added the images to the gallery.
Renee was interviewed about her role in Leatherheads.
Here is a clip from the article:
Renee Zellweger has revealed that
she enjoyed her latest part - because her character
always knew what to say.
The Texan actress plays smart-talking
Lexie Littleton in George Clooney's latest offering
Leatherheads, and says she is very different to her
character.
"She always had the right thing
to say. She's never at a loss for words, unlike some
of us," she admitted.
"She's a spitfire you know,
she's a trailblazer. She's everything - she's funny,
she's witty, she's sexy. I loved her as she gives
as good as she gets."
The 38-year was speaking at the London
premiere of Leatherheads at Leicester Square.
The film is set in the world of 1920s
American football, and follows the fortunes of Jimmy
"Dodge" Connolly (George Clooney) as he
tries to prevent his team, the Bulldogs, from dropping
out of the football league.
Renee co-stars as a news reporter
caught up in a love triangle with Clooney's football
hero character.
And the Bridget Jones actress promised
the film would be "good fun".
She said: "You know they don't
make it like this anymore, it's a good old-fashioned
Hollywood film, good old-fashioned storytelling like
they used to do. It takes its time and the relationships
are earned and it's good fun, it's good fun."

Also Renee's newest film "My One and
Only" is scheduled to start filming next month in Maryland.
Renee stars as Ann Deveraux, a glamorous divorcee who embarks
on a road trip in search of a wealthy husband. The time
period is set in the 1950's and should be awesome. I bet
Renee will be gorgeous!
The Today Show Interview

Just in case you missed it here is Renee's
interview on the Today Show:
I am a Terrible Movie Star
April 9, 2008 |
Renee didn't stay long in London. Today
found her and George in Rome where they did a photocall.
To see images from the event go here.
Renee is interviewed and says she is a "Terrible"
Movie Star:
The Cold Mountain actress - who can next be
seen starring alongside close friend George Clooney in Leatherheads
- struggles to feign enthusiasm after appearing on various
talk shows to promote her movies.
She said: "I'm a terrible movie star. I'm not good
at it. I can pretend to be but it takes a lot out of me.
It's not my natural inclination to go, 'Oh good! Another
talk show!' "
Renee also revealed she tries to choose characters who
bear no resemblance to herself, because she doesn't like
to feel vulnerable on the big screen.
She added: "I don't feel safe playing the girl who
looks like me. There's not enough to hide behind. The further
removed the character is from my own, the more fun and easier
it is."
The 38-year-old star recently said she feels most comfortable
spending time with friends, rather than living in the public
spotlight.
She said: "Spoilt rotten to me is sleeping on my best
friend's couch because I love having private moments with
people that are real - that's just how I'm made!"
