Kenny
and Renee met at the Concert of Hope a relief benefit concert
for the tsunami victims on January 15, 2005. Renee had volunteered
to answer phones and Kenny was performing. During an interview
Renee was asked if it was love at first sight for her and she
responded, "No, I was concentrating. I was doing my job.
? I mean it was nice. He came over and said, 'Hi' afterward."
After the broadcast the couple swapped phone numbers and started
corresponding.
On April 29, 2005 Renee surprised Kenny at his concert in Jacksonville,
Florida by bringing him a margarita onstage for his song "When
the Sun Goes Down" and kissing him on the cheek.
One of Kenny's hits is a song called "You Had Me From
Hello" which was inspired by Renee's role in Jerry Maguire.
The couple were married on May 9, 2005 in St. John island in
the U.S. Virgin Islands. Renee wore a dress designed by Carolina
Herrera. The wedding reception was held that night at Kenny’s
house on the north side of the island.
Four months later Renee filed for an annulment. In court papers
filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Renee listed “fraud”
as the reason for the breakup of her marriage. When the press
jumped at conclusions Renee released a press release stating,
"The term was “simply legal language and not a refection
of Kenny’s character. I would personally be very grateful
for your support in refraining from drawing derogatory, hurtful,
sensationalized or untrue conclusions. We hope to experience
this transition as privately as possible.”
On December 20, 2005 the Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted
the request to annull their marriage and according to the law
the marriage never existed.

and Renee met on the set of Cold Mountain.
Jim
and Renee met while filming Me, Myself, and Irene. Renee
has a strict policy about not dating on the set...and resisted
any moves made by Jim. Then after the film was over the two
hit it off. There are many rumors as to why the couple broke
up...but none have been identified by either Renee or Jim as
true. I do know that it has been said that it was very painful
for Renee.
